The Ultimate Do-Up

Today I came across the coolest story, it's a bit dirty.. not in a 'mind in the gutter' type dirty.. but literally just... dirty. London-based architect Laura Clark from Lamp Architects, took it upon herself to transform an abandoned underground public toilet (which was in quite the state) into a chic city apartment. The results are breathtaking. Read her story here and check out the photo gallery here.
You can follow her renovation journey over at her blog http://crystalpalacetoilets.blogspot.co.uk/

Here is a sneak peak!

Graphic Design Inspiration

Hump-day is the worst day of the week in my book.
It's also my least productive day at work, so I thought it would be fitting on this Wednesday morning to post a few pictures from my graphic design inspiration folder... instead of working!

To be inspired...

Like any girl in their mid-twenties without a rock on her finger, I get a wee bit wedding obsessed at times. I have a love/hate relationship with them. I do a bit of wedding photography and A LOT of wedding stationery. So when I am overloaded with freelance work I push back my imaginary wedding by at least two years cos the thought of planning almost sends me into a meltdown.. Then when all my work dries up I click on my number one favourite link and swoon at the beauty that Jen & Jason have created over at Green Wedding Shoes.

Every time I peruse these pages I feel inspired. I wish I had her job!
If you are looking for a weekend crafts project - this is the place to look. The DIY tutorials are just out of this world awesome.

Here is a wee taster of what you're in for.

How to make a portfolio awesome

If you have a career in design, you'll be faced with the same excitement and frustration that all of us designers face... updating your portfolio. It's always a long slog and we're full of great ideas in the beginning, then when that job interview approaches you start to panic and the night before you throw something half-assed together. Going through my many folders of randomness on my computer today I found this...This is how you make a portfolio awesome, you come up with an epic way to present it. All credit to the guy who created this... I don't know who you are, but I think your portfolio is awesome.
